Pippa moved to London from County Armagh, in Northern Ireland, to complete her degree in Ceramics at Central Saint Martins. Growing up in rural Ireland, Pippa is empowered by the tough personality that Ireland and its rugged landscape can proudly boast.
Pippa investigated this throughout her degree and through covid. Being isolated from peers and a studio alike, Pippa turned to the resources within the landscape to create work and champion the folklore it inspired - be it clay, sand, rocks or flora.
Since then, Pippa worked in various studios across London to teach classes, most recently in Crown Works Pottery in the city's East.
Now focussing on wheel-thrown functional-ware, Pippa is enjoying creating a body of work that can be used in chunky everyday life - through balanced pieces that are tactile and comforting.
